Salina, KS – OCCK Transportation announces their partnership with Token Transit to provide a new no-contact fare paying option. Token Transit is a new mobile ticketing program that allows you to ride all OCCK Transportation services, including CityGo, 81 Connection, Regional Paratransit, City of Abilene and KanConnect, and pay your fare, without touching cash or tickets and coupons.
The app is free and is available in both the Apple and Google Play stores. Using Token Transit eliminates the need for hard surface contact at the fare box between drivers and passengers. It is a cashless, cardless, and contactless payment solution. This partnership will provide riders with a new level of convenience that eliminates the need for carrying cash.
“We couldn’t be more excited to partner with Token Transit for this cashless fare option,” said Trell Grinter, Transportation Director for OCCK, Inc. “We are constantly looking for ways of improving our services for both our passengers and our drivers. Using a cashless system provides less contact and more convenience.”
OCCK Transportation will be launching Token Transit on Monday, April 12, 2021.
To use Token Transit, first you download the Token Transit mobile app. Second, you buy your transit pass. Finally, you use your phone to tap your pass from the Token Transit app and board your bus or van. The location feature must be enabled on your phone to use Token Transit.
